TYSA Rocks! Tacoma Concert reviews
Sound was poor
Thank you for passing this feedback on to those who can help make the needed changes so that future audiences (including those new to the show) can more thoroughly enjoy your production. Unfortunately, as a first time viewer of TYSA Rocks!, I could not understand a majority of the words throughout the show due to the volume balance between the orchestra and singers not being properly adjusted. The body mics were functioning properly but the volume for the actors was not high enough to be understood - alternatively the volume for the orchestra may have been too high. Additionally, the situation would be helped by the actors annunciating more clearly and being careful not to over dramaticize their vocal line, meaning not varying the dynamic of the voice as much through a phrase to the point where the end of some words and phrases are so low as not to be audible over the orchestra. I enjoyed it quite a bit and feel I would have enjoyed it more with just minor adjustments in sound. Thank you very much.
